Camp Hiawatha is an open and welcoming environment located on beautiful Deer Lake just 20 miles from Grand Rapids, MN. It is an inviting and enchanting site where people of all ages gather to learn, relax, play, and explore their place in community.
Our 85 acres offer the perfect setting for business meetings, family gatherings, creative learning weekends, special occasions, continuing education classes, and more.

Retreat Center
Meeting Space - A cozy room for focused work or casual conversation. Comfortably accommodates up to 20 people in casual, classroom, or around a board table setting.
A full kitchen allows groups to do their own meals and snacks.
Sleeping Room - Five rooms, each with a full size bed and bunk. Ideal for single or double occupancy or families. Shared showers and toilets down the hall. Sleeps 10-19 people.
The Retreat Center is located near the dining hall, and offers a great view of the lake and much of the camp property.
The flexible housing options make it a great space for groups of all shapes, sizes, and needs.
Whether your group is adults, families, or youth, we have housing to fit your needs. With queen size beds in many of our rooms, along with both shared or private shower facilities, you’ll find space to please each member of your group.
Gloria Dei and Lindberg Dorms
Covered porches make these ideal spaces to enjoy an afternoon conversation, as well as offer protection from rain and snow.
Gloria Dei and Lindberg rooms are ideal for 1-4 adults, families, or youth groups. Each room has it’s own bathroom and shower.

Our Chapel works great as a gathering space for meetings or guest speakers, especially for larger groups.
The Log Lodge is a great seasonal gathering space for large group. The fireplace also allows for campfires on rainy evenings.
In addition to dining, this space can be used for small group gatherings, break out space, crafting space, or conversation over a cup of coffee.
The dining hall patio is great for small group work, casual conversations, and enjoying your meals outdoors.
Your time with us isn’t complete without space to play, relax, and enjoy the solitude of the northwoods.
Be sure to make time to enjoy all that Camp Hiawatha has to offer, from gathering around a campfire to conversation in the sauna, or a morning cup of coffee by the lake to a group game in the ball field.
The sauna is available to groups year-round. Our staff are ready and willing to get this going for you.
The fire ring on the shoreline offers an ideal setting for an evening gathering.
Our large field, volley ball court, and basketball court provide plenty of space to stretch your legs.
